Black Shark

Origin

The Black Shark (Labeo chrysophekadion) is an aquarium fish that lives in the wild in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
It is a very interesting, energetic and curious species that shows an attractive black color.
Although they are sold as fish similar to the red-tailed black shark, these fish are much larger and much more aggressive.

Feeding The Black Shark

In the wild they scurry to the base of plants after worms. Because of this it is sometimes considered destructive. He does not know that the plants stand straight in the aquarium will try to move them, look for worms at their base, etc.
The Black Shark is omnivorous. It will consume almost anything it can swallow and flakes, bloodworms, tubifex worms, some vegetables and food (frozen or not) for predatory fish.
It is a fast-growing fish with an impressive appetite.
Especially during growth should be fed with varied food several times a day and between apples thrown on the bottom of the aquarium from place to place vegetables to have activity.

It is not recommended to be kept near smaller fish that it can swallow or that can be easily intimidated. The plants that are populated with the aquarium do not have to be soft or certain types delicate because the Black Shark consumes a wide variety of plants. The safest thing to do is to take natural hard plants.
Preventively it is good to watch the edges of the aquarium because the Black Shark can throw water out when eating or even jump out of the aquarium, something that often happens if the aquarium is not covered.
The Black Shark is named because of its shark-like body shape. Has dark body, large eyes is an active fish. They are hardy and easy to maintain fish.
