Origin
In the nineteenth century, the Norfolk spaniel was the only hunting dog in England. As the century drew to a close, the spaniel became more chiseled and slowed down its development, separating into the Welsh springer spaniel and the English springer spaniel.
The English springer spaniel was officially recognized by the English Kennel Club in 1902, and in 1927, the breed was also recognized by the American Kennel Club.
Currently, there are heated debates about spaniel breeds. American English springer spaniel clubs and breeders consider the American version of the breed to be so different that it should be considered a distinct breed from the English version. So far, no decision has been made in this direction, so all English springer spaniels form a group.
As a hunting dog, springer spaniel's main objective was to get the game out of hiding. By forcing the game out of hiding, the springer made hunting easier and more productive for the Hunter.
Currently, the English springer spaniel is considered by many to be one of the best breeds of hunting dogs, which recovers game both from the ground and from the water, so they can be used both on the ground and in the water.
Feed English Springer Spaniel
Dogs have developed as omnivores which means they can eat a wide range of foods to meet their nutritional requirements. They have long intestines, 6 times the dog's length, just to be able to digest food more easily.
Meat, cereals and vegetables can be easily digested by the dog.
Puppies require larger amounts of food than their body weight because they are growing, and after 18 weeks 3 meals a day facilitates digestion. Later after 18 months you can switch to two meals a day, but not less.
Both puppies and adults should be fed quality food, well balanced nutritionally, appropriate to their needs. For example, dogs that stay outside in the kennel in winter should be supplemented with food to produce warmth and not get sick.
Do not forget that in addition to food, any animal needs fresh water.

Eyes, neither too big nor too small, express gentleness. The eyes are brown or dark brown, depending on the color of the robe. The ears are fixed in line with the eyes. When drawn to the face, the ears should reach up to the tip of the nose.
The coat is long, smooth, dense and waterproof. The breed standard requires shortening the tail. Although the coat color can be a mixture of brown, black and white, the combination of Burgundy (dark red) with white tends to be the most appreciated.
