The gang is spread especially in Central Europe where it is represented by the gray gang from which the domestic gang originates. In the meantime, the Canadian goose appeared in Europe, which now nests here.

According to scientists, the original birthplace of the goose is the Arctic region, where in fact it is the nesting place of most species of wild geese, in winter they migrate to regions with temperate or tropical climate.

Feeding The Gang

The goose feeds mainly on various types of grass, seeds, leaves and roots, but they do not bypass either worms or other insects.

During the drought, when it does not find food in its natural habitat, it goes through the backyards to feed on vegetables and causes quite a lot of damage.

It is a terrestrial Bird and gets its food mainly from the Earth. However, the goose is good flippers and dives quickly into the water if needed.

During mating they become violent with other birds, even of the same species, and they diligently protect their territory.

Gang Appearance

It is a somewhat larger bird than the duck, having between 63-73 cm long, the wingspan reaching up to 1.5 meters. The legs and beak are pale pink.

Males and females are similar in color, but in size, females are somewhat smaller.

Without this having anything to do with sex or age, birds can have varied plumage tones, some have more gray feathers, others more Chestnut, this being a way to differentiate them.

Males make hissing sounds, while females gag.

Gang Features

Compared to the rates where there is an obvious sexual dimorphism, in Geese the male can be distinguished only by size from the female which is smaller.

Geese are monogamous birds like swans, and the male helps the female build the nest.

Breeding Gang

It is not a migratory bird. They make their nest on the ground, near the water of their preference; they have no problem occupying the deserted nests of other birds.

Females lay between 5-8 eggs, and the chicks hatch in about 28 days.

Although they are very loud and aggressive sometimes, geese choose their partners for life and take great care of their young.
