Origin
Lastun (Riparia riparia) is a term that defines a group of birds consisting of ca. 80 species belonging to the family Hirundinidae (swallows).
The lastun (Riparia riparia) is a migratory bird that can be found in North America, Eurasia up to an altitude of 750 m above sea level.
The bird stays from May to august/September where it nests, and migrates to Central Africa, Western Africa and South America.
The species was first described in 1758 by Linnaeus, originally named Hirundo riparia.
