Raphael Catfish Feed

These are fish that spend most of their lives at the bottom of the aquarium and have developed their appetite by feeding on carnivorous protein-rich foods such as: bloodworms, Bream, tapeworms and Tubifex. You can also eat frozen foods, flakes or tablets.

Features Raphael Catfish

It is a fearful sanitary, if there is agitation in the room it will not feel well, therefore it had to be in the aquarium as many hiding places. It is not recommended to be taken in hand because it contains spikes that can cause shock and terrible pain. If, however, you have to take it from the aquarium, it is best to take it with a glass or a container; minciogul is not indicated because because of the spikes remains trapped in minciog and will be great trouble until you manage to remove it. When the fish is taken out of the water, it makes a special noise, a kind of slow squeak, that is why it is also called talking catfish, that is, the talking sanitary.
The more copies you have, the more hiding places you need. It is preferable not to be kept with small fish , such as neons and Cubs in general. Being a nocturnal fish, it will be awake and full of energy when the other fish in the aquarium are resting. It is a wonderful fish and very loved because of its suave swimming, it is peaceful, lives long and is mysterious, in that it is rarely seen. It lives without problems in all types of water, although it prefers soft and acidic ones. If you want to have offspring from platydorasi, I advise you to take your mind off this idea because they do not breed in aquariums.

Breeding Raphael Catfish

Platydoras costatus breeds by spawning. However, the sexual differences between males and females are unknown and they have never filed in captivity. This is one of the reasons why it is believed that platydoras is a wild fish that should not be kept in captivity.
