Origin

The Abtenauer horse breed is a very rare breed with a population of only a few dozen horses. It is the smallest horse species of the Noriker breed.

The breed is isolated in the Abtenau area south of Salzburg and is also known for its ease of use. It is said that in the Austrian Army A Soldier excels just like an Abtenauer.

It is used both in agriculture, for field work, and for the company.
