Origin
The Golden tortoise beetle (Charidotella sexpunctata) was discovered in North America.
It is one of the most spectacular species of Coleoptera.
It is also called the "Golden cockroach" (goldbug). It is a relatively new species of beetle, being discovered after 2010.

It can look like a gargle of metallic or completely golden color with reddish tints or nergre dots.
It is assumed that the color change is done by controlling the humidity under the carapace.

The Golden Turtle Beetle reproduces by laying white oval eggs under the fruit.
Larvae hatch from eggs in 5-10 days.

Development from egg to adult insect to Golden cockroach lasts 40 days.
