Beagle Breed-Origin
In the fourteenth century, a popular sport in England was the hunting of hares, and beagle dogs were the ones used.
The name Beagle was not used until 1475, but began to be mentioned at the beginning of the XVI century.
In the middle of the XVI century, dogs were classified according to certain goals. At that time, a small dog appeared to kill wild rabbits, and this dog was called “Begles”. But, the English version is Beagle.
