Origin

Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a breed originally from Romania, an excellent guard dog used for many centuries by Romanian shepherds.

The Carpathian Shepherd was selected from a breed endemic to the Carpathian and Danube Delta areas. For centuries his main task was to guard and handle sheep, and what is appreciated about this dog is that it has been preserved to this day.

The First standard was developed by the National Zooenic Institute in 1934, after which it was updated and registered in the Romanian Kennel Association in 1982, 1999 and 2001.

It is also called Mioritic Romanian shepherd.

Mioritic Shepherd's feed

The menu of Dogs differs depending on age, breed and even individual. Mioritic Shepherd look

A large, agile, sprightly dog with a vigorous appearance. The body is strong, the chest is large and wide. Sexual dimorphism is seen quite easily, with males usually being larger and stronger than females.

The head is like a wolf, strong, but not large, with a strong bite. The forehead is wide, slightly curved, the skull is wide between the ears. The nose is large and black in color. The elongated snout is almost equal in length to the skull, the lips are fleshy, pigmented and very well contoured. The eyes are almond – shaped brown-black in color.
