Facts

Origin

The slender Azawakh Greyhound has been known for centuries in the desert regions of the Sahel, the Niger Basin, where it has always been a proud companion of the Tuareg inhabitants.

In fact, the name comes from the name of the Azawakh Valley, in Niger and Mali, Valley where specimens have been found those with the best characteristics of this breed. The official name is established in 1982, but there is still a lot of confusion around the name of this breed, also known as "Mali Greyhound", "Sahara Greyhound" and even "Sudan Hound".

This African dog arrived in Europe through the French and is obviously present in France as well.

This dog originated in the arid areas of the Sahara. It was bred and used for hunting, as a guard and companion animal . Today it is encountered quite rarely.

Azawakh Food

The daily diet weighs is 400-500 g of food.

Food should be comprehensive, balanced and healthy.

The quality of food should be as good as possible, because it affects the health of animal feed and a poor nutritional diet inevitably leads to health problems.
