It is a popular species in poultry farming that can be a superb pet. It prefers the forested places of the Australian continent, but does not climb to high altitudes, probably higher than 1000-1500m.
They are most active in the early morning and evening.
Feeding Parrot Sulphur Galerite
They should be fed with concentrated diets (granulated or extruded) that will be supplemented daily with fresh fruits and vegetables. Feed them about a third cup of granulated coffee and a third cup of fresh fruit and vegetable coffee, daily.
If the bird consumes its daily ration, you can offer supplements. Overfeeding leads to the appearance of fads, waste and unnecessary throwing of food. It is also advisable to offer them 2-3 almonds, hazelnuts or macadamia nuts, daily.
Triton cockatoo parrots are very effective in using calories. Young cockatoo parrots are well known to be capricious consumers and it seems that they do not need much food to maintain themselves. Try to make sure that the food you eat is nutritious. Supplementing the diet with cooked meat is an important element in the case of reproductologists.
In their natural environment, they feed on seeds, nuts, peanuts and some exotic fruits, such as paya, rambutan, durian. They also feed on corn, being common in fields, which can cause damage. When a parrot feeds at ground level, it is accompanied by several "sentries", to detect possible dangers.
The shrill sounds they make are emitted both during flight, but also when they gather in groups to feed or rest. Although they destroy the branches of trees, sometimes even various wooden structures that decorate the parks, they are very fond of people, for their insight and personality.
Features Parrot Sulphur Galerite
This species of cockatoo is one of the largest species of cockatoo parrots in the world. They are large white cockatoo parrots with yellow recurved crests. The feathers that make up the crest lie along the top of the head and have the tips twisted upwards.
They can be about 38-51 cm in length and a body weight around 400-700 g at maturity. Males are generally larger than females.
They are affectionate, playful and very intelligent birds. They are excellent companions for those who want a fascinating and loving bird, but much more active compared to Moluccan and umbrella cockatoos. He is able to learn many tricks. This ability, coupled with their optimistic personalities, makes them fun companions.
If they are deprived of attention, they can become very noisy and destructive or begin to pluck their feathers or self-mutilate. These parrots can become possessive with their masters. This possessive behavior can lead to unpredictable or aggressive behavior towards other people, especially if the bird reaches sexual maturity.

Breeding Parrot Sulphur Galerite
Mating season is variable, occurring between august and January in the eastern and south-eastern parts of Australia, and between July and October in the south-west. Mating is correlated with vegestation-rich seasons, when food is at your discretion.
To attract a partner, the male resorts to a series of courtship strategies. He flaps his feathers, unfolds his tail, spreads his wings, exposes his entire crest and then hovers on the branches, trying to get a female's consent to enter her area.
The female hatches on average 2-3 eggs. The incubation period is about 24-30 days, and the chicks fully dress with feathers around the age of 12-14 weeks.
The cockatoo parrot with medium yellow mot is generally a resistant and healthy cockatoo parrot species, but it has been found an increased susceptibility to the following diseases: diseases of the beak and plumage, swooping, aggression between partners, self-mutilation, psittacosis, bacterial and fungal infections, capricious appetite, sarcocystosis, cloacal prolapse and poisoning consecutive to metal ingestion.
Like other species of cockatoo parrots, they can be very long-lived birds, relating that certain individuals in zoos have lived up to 50-60 years.
