Origin
The python is part of the family Pythonidae.
They are a family of non-venomous snakes that can be found in Africa, Asia and Australia(specifically India, southern China, the Philippines, Indonesia, New Guinea, etc.).
They're some of the biggest snakes in the world. Eight genera and 26 species of pythons are currently known.
Feeding Snake Python
It kills its prey by the force of the body. It wraps around the prey and squeezes it by putting pressure on it until it gives in due to pain or lack of air.
Large specimens usually eat prey the size of a cat or dog. There have been known cases when an adult python ate a deer, or a gazelle.
The prey is swallowed whole.
The process of digestion in the snake lasts from several days to several weeks.
Features Snake Python
Most specimens are ambush predators. They usually remain motionless ready to attack in a camouflaged position.
When passing prey through their range they immediately attack. Don't attack people unless they're scared or provoked.
Except for those who protect their eggs. It can even attack and swallow children after killing them by suffocation.
Reports indicate that attacks on humans are rare.
Python Snake Breeding
Females lay eggs. This sets them apart from the boa snake that gives birth to live Cubs.
After laying the eggs, the female incubates them until they hatch. This is done by stimulating the muscles, raising the temperature to a certain degree.
Keeping eggs at a constant temperature is essential for healthy embryo development. During the incubation period, females will not feed to maintain high body temperature.
Most species of this family are commercially available as exotic animals. In the case of large specimens, maximum attention should be paid.
There have been cases where owners have been killed.
